Kurozwęki is a picturesque corner, offering an excellent place for both peaceful walks and adventurous experiences! Explore our range of attractions:
ENTRANCE TO THE AREA – admission ticket required. We invite you to stroll through the park surrounding the Palace. We also encourage you to wander along the paths around the bison pastures. On-site, there is a playground for children and toilets. The area around the palace covers approximately 80 hectares, including a park, pastures, meadows, and walking trails.
FOUR FAMILY MUSEUM In the palace attic, a museum was opened in 2023, where you can see the treasures and mementos of the Popiel family, as well as paintings by Józef Czapski. The timeline presented shows the changes that took place during the times of the four families who inhabited the palace for 700 years: Kurozwęckich, Lanckorońskich, Sołtyków, and Popielów. Various forms of communication were used in creating the museum, from traditional galleries and showcases, through models, holograms, cinema, to virtual books.
PALACE – guided tour While touring the palace, you will learn about its history, the families who lived there, as well as current interesting facts. The tour begins in the 14th century in the cellars, which formerly served as living quarters and were the ground floor of the castle. In the cellars, you will see the original castle fortifications, a tower, a well, and a knight’s hall. The next level to visit is the ground floor with the courtyard and the palace library. The last level to visit is the first floor, where you will find the ballroom, chapel, portrait gallery, green salon, and red salon.
BISON SAFARI – Guided Attraction Bison were brought to Kurozwęki in December 2000 for breeding and agrotourism purposes. Our bison herd can be observed in natural conditions, while also in a historical setting. You can tour the breeding grounds by entering the enclosure in a “bison safari” wagon. The guide will tell you about their history and current anecdotes related to them. Everything indicates that the herd has acclimatized to our area without any problems. In total, we have about 80 individuals.
BEECH LABYRINTH (open from May to mid-October). The field area is 0.3 hectares. Walking through the labyrinth, you can test your orientation skills. For children, it is a wonderful outdoor game. The task for children is to find the characters inside the labyrinth and fill in the numbers from 1 to 8 in the empty fields on the ticket.
CORN MAZE (open from mid-July to the end of September). The field area is 4.5 hectares. Every year, a new maze shape is created in the cornfield. When you buy a ticket, you receive a map with marked points. Find the point and solve the crossword puzzle on the ticket. Correctly completed cards participate in prize draws. During the game, you can check your orientation in the area. Inside the maze, there is an observation tower. There is no phone or internet coverage on-site.
Note: The facility is closed on November 1st.
Children up to 4 years old have free admission and attractions! Reduced tickets are available for children aged 4 to 16 and individuals aged 60+.
